It’s never too cold to photograph two people in love! This Wednesday morning we ventured out into the bitterness to capture some memories for Chris & Jenna before they take the plunge into foreverness together.

We knew it was going to be cold, but I don’t think any of us were prepared for numb skin and the cold bones that held on for hours afterwards. But regardless of the weather, love was in the air and I’m sure you’ll feel more warmth than cold as you take a look through their sneak peeks!

We wanted to take a more personal approach to this blog post as all of what we do at Karitas Photography feels personal to us. As women we have always made a point of mixing business with friendship. We’ve had the opportunity through the last five years to meet so many amazing people, build some new friendships and of course capture so many of your memories!

The last couple of years have really sappified us even more as we both had our first child. We both have beautiful sons and want to share them with you as you have shared your children and families with us.

In 2010 Emma welcomed her baby boy, Owen into the world. He is now a VERY bouncy 21 month old toddler who loves adventuring and exploring everything messy and chaotic, bringing Emma’s natural A-type personality to a more balanced level!

One and a half years went by and Nayeli had her own little man, Layth! A beautiful little bundle of solid boy. He is now four months and already showing the world it ready to take it by storm. Forget waiting until 10 months to talk, Layth already has his first word, Aqua! Check out this little bundle of man.

We are also happy to announce that this coming May, 2012. Emma will be welcoming a GIRL! Its about time, the testosterone was starting to get the best of us! We will still be working full swing so don’t you worry. Our plan thus far has been taking turns until we take over the world with little Haddads and Davidsons.

We are both so happy with life, with our wonderful customers and friends and we just wanted to share a part of us with you this time of year. We hope you all enjoy lots of great food, enjoy some quality time with your families and friends and of course all of the fun extras that come with Christmas and the season.

Happy Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hannukah, Happy Eid, Happy Chinese New Year… and whatever else we’re missing!

Adam & Laura | For the love of Vino

One of the most enjoyable photo shoots of the year, for sure. Everything was so perfect; from the location to the couple and everything in between. Adam & Laura were a little nervous at first like most couples but they were complete naturals! You can tell how much they love each other just by looking at them. No pose was forced, everything between them was genuine and meaningful, including every last prop.

Can’t wait to photograph your wedding Adam & Laura – can only imagine it will be spectacular!

Andrew & Kristen | Engagement

This past week I had the privilege of photographing my brother’s good friend Andrew & his beautiful wife to be, Kristen. Their only request for their session was colour so I didn’t have to go very far this time of year to come up with some of the warmest colours. We took their session to Malden park and walked quite a bit but came up with some great shots. They were so adorable together and didn’t stop at anything to get some photos to remember their day – even rolling down a pretty steep hill!

Kalie & Kyle | Weddings

Another beautiful fall wedding. Kalie & Kyle are such a laid back couple that we could just sit back and do our job. They weren’t fussy with extra details like lip gloss touch ups etc so we had fun using any extra time on capturing candids and photos of all their extra guests. September is such a beautiful month for weddings, you get all of the fashion extra of fall without the bitter cold of October and on. Such a pleasure. Here are just a couple of their day…

Kyrstin & Shawn | Weddings

One of the most beautiful weddings of the season. Everything was so simple but so elegant. The most welcoming family and all around a really fun day. Both Kerry and myself found ourselves laughing all day and couldn’t stop looking at the photos we’d taken because everything turned out so nicely. Here are some sneaks from that beautiful September day.

Evans’, Girgis’, Tehans | Fall Families

The Evans Family Extended

This was my second time photographing the Evans family and they multiplied! And the extended family jumped in on this one. It was a lot of fun chasing people around and doing a lot of laughing. I’m sure they’ll have a ton of great memories to remember when looking back on this session!

The Girgis Family

Every year, usually twice I’m blessed to photograph the Girgis family. This time was no different, apart from the bitter cold I think we all survived. Little E gave me a run for my money this time around, literally! He was determined to not look at the camera, but at the end of the day no one will ever know except Mommy and Daddy; well, and now you. Make sure to keep your eye out for the rainbow in these sneak peeks!

The Tehan Family

Another regular fall family, the Tehans. Such an attractive family, and smiley children they make my job easy! This turned out to be a great shoot for light. I like to call it happy hour when the sun starts to fall and give off the most beautiful glow. I also call it happy hour in the morning so maybe I’m just happy when the sun is being creative with me! Towards the end of the sneak peeks here you’ll get to see some friends that joined us on the end of the shoot. The photograph is lacking in “appeal” beyond the fact that it has furry friends in it.

The Hazzard Family | A Reception Celebration

I’ve known the Hazzard family for 14 years, they are great family friends! This past summer they welcomed three new members as Jared married Linda and also welcomed her two beautiful daughters.
